Cinema Feed#1: Bleak Night (2010)

Bleak Night, a South Korean film directed by Yoon Sung-Hyun. The plot sets out with a devastated father who was determined to find out the cause leading to his son’s death.

I was initially attracted by the bluntness of its film poster and have watched it without doing any research beforehand. However, the flashback technique that was deployed in this film was simple, but certainly highlighted the essence of fragile human relations. It reminds me of how we have cherish and prioritise friendships during our adolescence by putting in effort to bond with our mates. Yet, the so-called valuable friendship can simply collapse just within a flip.

If you are looking for something that is entertaining, Bleak Night is certainly not an option for you. However, if you manage to sit through the monotonic pace, then this is a film that would lead you to redefine certain stereotypical aspects.
