Music Recap: Paris and Milan

It's unfortunate that the final Fashion Week had ended last Sunday. That brings an end to this season; we assume that the majority of you had a great time watching these shows, on top of selecting your favourite pieces from the abundant amount of presentations. Similar to our music feed on the London shows, we've once again decided to give you a round up of some of the music used in the shows in Milan and Paris. Hopefully, it'll be of help to those who are desperate in search of the music selected to accompany the catwalk.

Well first up: Milan

Ermenegildo Zegna:

A fabulous soundtrack that not only blends in with the background video, but also enhances the predominant theme of the primordial universe marketed by the brand. Created by Professor Terenzi in Acoustic Astronomy, and also mixed with The Seasons by Tchaikovsky, the soundtrack is packed with a variety of genres ranging from jazz to opera.

This has got to be our favourite track from the Milan week. We love how each aspect of the track completely fuses with the elements of the presentation; from start to finish. In particular, the various elements used to depict silence i.e. footsteps, are absolutely flawless. It's definitely a MUST- LISTEN!

Paris

Saint Laurent:

FROTH - "General Education"

The chosen track of the season by LA garage rock band, FROTH. Blending in well with the retro-rock style of the season, the beats sure does help to accentuate the theme as it felt as though we've time travelled back to the 60s. Though the song merges in well with the show, it isn't really growing on us.

Givenchy:

1)The Martinez Brothers - Flawless

2)The Martinez Brothers - Interlude 01
3)The Martinez Brothers - The Kid

From the thoughtful basketball theme setup to the matching collection, of course the background track also speaks of the sport with the dubstep beats running in the background. Produced by renown DJ duo, The Martinez Brothers, the track ties the theme altogether as the entire venue and atmosphere just seems like a replica of a basketball stadium. We're loving the first track as it is extremely hypnotic.

So that's all for this season. Hopefully you've enjoyed our coverage of the shows and the music recaps. In the mean time, we'd appreciate it if you continue to show us your support and we'll certainly come back in stall for the next season. Finally keep an eye out for our upcoming fashion features and if possible, leave some suggestions at our tip box. See you soon!
