After all the positive reviews and recommendations from my friends, I've finally watched Gravity (2013) with high anticipation. Directed by Alfonso Cuarón with charming casts of Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, it is a short story of astronauts fighting for survival after an accident occurred during their space mission.
What's my feedback? Well.....
Undoubtedly, the computer graphics surely are astounding. The zero gravity outer space presentation was so realistic. Together with the incredible scores by Steven Price, it has given its audience an incredible space adventure simulation. I was allured by the film's visual and audio aspects, and was curious about its filming process. At last, I found this short interesting feature that discussed the concept and how the film has made from scratch. It is fascinating how they have tried to present the unknown world to the ordinary public.
Behind the Scene:
Sadly, nothing is perfect. The narrative technics for Gravity; I've found it rather disappointing. As an essential component of a film, the narrative was too brief and that certainly did not uphold with its stunning visual effects. Though I found Sandra Bullock has done a good job at portraying a survivor struggling in outer space within the 90-minute production, Gravity still failed to impact me emotionally.
Nevertheless, the trailer is highly recommendable!
