Though it's only the beginning of the year, we're already in for a treat as one of the most anticipating releases (for me) is already out. MisterWives: a New York based band fronted by the lead vocalist, Mandy Lee, may be unknown to the majority, but I have to say that you're missing out if you don't give this a listen. Formed a little over a year ago, the band is seeing an increase in growth of fans thanks to the distinct sound they have in stall. Even though the newly released EP largely comprises of tracks that were released previously, nevertheless the final product is something that fans have been anticipating, and will also appeal to a range of listeners.
'Reflections,' the title track is an extremely infectious piece as it is filled with addicting dance-pop hooks that would without a doubt, make your muscles twitch. It serves as a good opening act in the EP as it showcases a range of skills that the band has. Lee's boisterous vocals seamlessly fuses with the flamboyant style that the band has established, and this continues throughout all the upbeat tracks in the EP.
While you may enjoy listening to all of the upbeat songs in the EP, keep in mind of the track 'Coffins.' It is a somber song that exhibits a different side to the band.
