Woods–the folk rock group from Brooklyn has always been consistent at making albums while taking short breaks in between each. Active since 2005, the band is lead by Jeremy Earl who is the also behind the record label Woodsist, that produces all of the band's material. Having travelled long distances, the band has undergone several transformations over their journey. The same can be applied to their latest release.

Hailing from Vienna, Austria, Cari Cari consists of Stephanie Widmer and Alexander Köck, who both take on the role as vocalists on top of playing a handful of other instruments. They may just be starting out, however I'm sure that you would agree with me that they would travel quite far after giving their debut EP a listen.

This latest sunny ambient production is San Francisco's Scott Hansen's (or Tycho's) fourth studio album to date. Up till now, Tycho's music has always been mild and uplifting, nothing too strenuous which would be a difficult task to digest. In spite of the abundance of material in his discography, Awake doesn't appear to deviate too far from his roots.
